Housekeeping Assistant- Lynhales Hall

Lynhales Hall is set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall, Lynhales Hall Nursing Home built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House is home to up to 65 residents. We are actively seeking a Full-Time Housekeeping Assistant to join our Housekeeping Team working 26 hours per week which incudes 14 hours per week in the Laundry department and 12 hours per week as a Domestic working between 8.00am-15.00pm 4 days per week. You will be on a rolling rota of 4 days on, 4 days off. Hourly rate of pay- £10.57 per hour About the role: As a Housekeeping Assistant at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a new standard in healthcare that enables us to deliver exceptional person-centered care and support for our residents. Keeping the home clean, hygienic, and safe, particularly in the fight against coronavirus, is no small task, which is why the role of a Housekeeping Assistant is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy clean, tidy and welcoming surroundings. This means you’ll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the staff working to support them. Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a laundry department or similar Domestic position or worked within a similar environment. What You'll be Doing

- Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the nursing home. - Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to. - Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene. - Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Home Manager. - Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Home Manager. - To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents. - To comply with COSHH regulations. - To adhere to infection control polices at all times. - To ensure the correct use of PPE. - To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home. - Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or Home Manager. - To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily. - To ensure trolleys are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy. - Keeping the Laundry room tidy, organised, and cleaned - Ensuring all residents clothes, bedding, and towels are appropriately washed, dried, ironed, mended if required, labelled, and returned to the residents - Wardrobes to be kept tidy and organised - Ensure detergent is stocked up
