Hampton Grange Nominated for Palliative/End of Life Care Award
Hampton Grange have been shortlisted for the Palliative/End of Life Care Award at the Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards 2021.
The nomination is testament to the excellent end of life care staff provide to residents and the support which staff provide to the residents’ families. The following tributes were made by residents' loved ones:“you couldn’t wish for a better home. A family member spent a the last few weeks of their life at Hampton Grange. The staff went above and beyond to make them as happy and as comfortable as possible. Also our family were accommodated where possible and made to feel welcome by all. The staff were by their side right up until the time of their passing. We were kept informed of what was going on. Staff and management were amazing: we could not thank them enough”.
Another tribute said: “when it became impossible to give my partner’s mother the palliative care she needed at home, she went to Hampton Grange. The warm welcome and tender loving care she received there from all the staff were impressive. Despite the pressures of Covid, they managed to make her feel at home, and enabled us to talk to her regularly on the phone. When the end was near, they made arrangements so we could all visit, and it was then I saw how gentle and kind they are”.
The virtual awards ceremony will take place on 21st October 2021.
