The Role: As the Registered Manager of both Rotherwood care homes, you will lead, manage and be accountable for your eight-seat management team. You will oversee the day to day operations within your designated home, providing support and leadership to your team. You will work closely with the Regional Manager and Chief Operating Officer to deliver business performance and quality targets. You will have a strong focus on the care, compliance, and high quality service, ensuring the safe working practices of your staff and the quality care delivery for your residents. Key Responsibilities: · Ultimately responsible for the effective, safe, and appropriate care delivery for each resident and for ensuring the home supports individuality and promotes quality and safety at all times. · Ensure home enquiries are followed up in a timely manner and the home visit process runs smoothly and effectively, followed by an assessment when applicable. · Effectively manage relationships with residents, relatives, third party professionals and individuals within the local community. · Fully assist with CQC, LA, EHO inspections and ensure any required actions are planned effectively and executed as required and in accordance with any regularity requirements. · Day to day staff management, e.g., completing probation, supervision, appraisals, return to work meetings. Effectively manage annual leave, training requirements, sickness absence, and ensure recruitment activity/interviews are prioritised for vacancies within your home. · Assess and maintain the correct number of staff based on occupancy by having clear visibility and understanding your care needs versus staff ratio. · Maintain control of the budgetary spend within the home through regular monitoring, ensuring the home remains financially sound. Colwall care home is situated in the picturesque village of Colwall, nestled on the western side of the Malvern Hills. Colwall is a purpose built luxury care home, offering state of the art facilities with stunning architectural features throughout. Opening in Summer 2024, Colwall will be home to 60 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home catering team as a Kitchen Assistant. The Role: You will be required to assist the Head Chef/Chef in the preparation of a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment and play a vital part in the effective operation of the kitchen function for the home. The Kitchen Assistant will also need to control stock, rotate foods, and monitor use by dates and ensure that the kitchen is kept in a clean and hygienic state at the end of every shift. Key Responsibilities: • Preparing and serving food in a timely manner, as directed by the Head Chef and Chef. • Follow food handling and hygiene procedures, maintain a clean and organised work area. • Support with each mealtime experience - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to residents’ preferences and dietary requirements. • Keep clean all work surfaces in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. • To abide by all health & safety and environmental requirements as per the relevant legislation/regulations. • Be aware of and adhere to COSHH guidelines. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home as a Nurse. The Role: As the Nurse in charge, you will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical elements of the care provision, supervising others and setting/maintaining clinical standards within the home. Working under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Lead, you will have a strong clinical focus, playing an active role in ensuring that the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Supporting the home with the expected clinical/nursing standards, promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are maintained. Shift times are predominantly 08.00 – 20.00 (days) or 20.00 – 08.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Monitor standards of care, ensuring all staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability. • Ensure resident needs are being met by interaction and observation on each shift. • Organise and facilitate GP visits as required and implement advice/guidance provided. • Prepare, review and update resident care plans to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose. • Administer and manage resident medication and ensure accurate records are maintained. • Report and incidents/accidents, areas of concern to the Home Manager & Clinical Lead. • Ensure a clear & concise handover, highlighting priorities for the day/night ahead. • Provide ongoing clinical support to ensure the team on your shift have the necessary skills & knowledge to provide the resident with an exceptional level of care. About You: As a RGN with a valid NMC Pin, you will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring the safe delivery or nursing care is achieved and maintained at all times. You will lead by example and have a genuine passion for nursing care and working with the elderly. With a personable disposition, you will be comfortable leading others to achieve high standards without compromise. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant skillset and experience and share our core values.
