About You: You will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring infection control measures are adhered to and the cleanliness of the home is of a high standard as expected within a luxury environment. The Role: As a member of the home management team, you will lead, manage and be accountable for the nursing teams within your designated home. Providing a strong clinical focus, you will play an active role in ensuring the nurse teams are competent and the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Responsible for setting the clinical/nursing standards and ensuring that competencies and clinical supervisions are managed effectively. Promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are achieved and maintained. Key Responsibilities: • Achieve, promote, and ensure that the home’s clinical/care performance meets all relevant standards and codes of conduct including NMC and CQC fundamental standards. • Organise the implementation of planned care as set out within individual care plans, ensuring that this meets each residents' medication/clinical care needs. • Responsible for the safe ordering, administration and safekeeping of medication and treatments, as prescribed and in accordance with the home’s policies and NMC Guidelines. • Responsible for auditing care delivery, developing action plans to rectify areas if required. • Facilitate good outcomes from inspections including CQC, CCG and LA. • Assist with pre-admission assessments and arrangements necessary for admissions to the home. • Assess all levels of care against agreed competencies to ensure effective, safe, and appropriate care delivery that supports individuality and promotes quality and safety. Role Purpose: You will be responsible for ensuring that the learning & development experiences we offer our staff, from day one and throughout the employment lifespan, is exceptional. Equipping our homes to deliver exemplary care and support. You will be expected to manage, lead, and plan the training and professional development of each staff member, across all care homes, ensuring everyone is supported to their full potential. Accountabilities: E-Learning: Manage an effective online learning platform, ensuring full compliance and the necessary courses are fit for purpose and meet the needs of our staff learning requirements. Face to Face Training: Develop and roll out a relevant, captivating, and purposeful induction programme. Create and implement training content relevant to our business with the intention of elevating our staff skills, knowledge, and competency to an outstanding level. Have experience in Health & Social Care and delievring training courses such as (moving and handling, Fire training, First Aid, Dementia, Inductions for new starters. Training Compliance: Ensure all staff receive the necessary training to enable them to meet the expectations of their role and to ensure any regulatory/legal requirements are adhered to at all times. Staff Development: Create and roll out specific role workshops. Develop and implement career pathways for all levels of learning, based on role requirements and future development opportunities. It is essential that the post holder has previous experience in creating and implementing a successful and proven learning and development function. The successful post holder will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of managing effective training programmes through e- learning and face to face/classroom sessions.
