Hospitality Host/Hostess - Roden Hall

Who are we? Rotherwood Healthcare is an award winning care home group, providing luxury residential, nursing and dementia care for the older generation in a family of care homes and nursing homes across the Midlands. Roden Hall is set within three acres of grounds in the picturesque village of Roden in Shropshire. Purpose built and designed to the highest specification with luxury and comfort in mind and is home to 68 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home catering team as Host/Hostess. The Role: To provide hospitality services to residents and their guests. Serving meals, snacks, and beverages at their request in the location of their choice. To maintain the dining rooms in a state of readiness for residents and their guests to use at their leisure. To help maintain a welcoming, stimulating, attractive and safe environment for residents, preserving dignity and respect. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate records in respect of resident’s fluid and food intake. • Help and support with each mealtime experience - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to residents’ preferences and dietary requirements. • Supporting the delivery and serving of food from kitchen to dining room/bedrooms. • Regularly clean and re-fresh all water jug and glasses and return to residents’ rooms. • Assist with engaging residents in therapeutic and recreational activities to promote wellbeing. • Clear and reset the dining room after each meal service has been completed, clean surfaces and avoid cross contamination. About You: You will have a genuine passion for supporting and working with elderly individuals, a strong focus on the mealtime experience for each of our residents. You will have an upbeat, positive attitude with a caring and patient manner. Previous catering and/or care home experience would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the knowledge and understanding if you have the people qualities and share our core values.
