Head Housekeeper - Hampton/Gwen

Hampton Grange is nestled along the picturesque riverbanks of the river Wye, just a stone’s throw away from the heart of Hereford. Hampton Grange stands as a grand Victorian house, elegantly adapted in a Tudor style, situated in a calm residential area and is home to 64 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home management team as a Head Housekeeper. The Role: As a member of the home management team, you will lead, manage and be accountable for the housekeeping and laundry team to achieve and maintain Rotherwood’s standards and compliance with infection control and health & safety procedures. You have the overall responsibility for ensuring your designated home is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and comfort, making our residents feel at home and an environment where they love to live. Key Responsibilities: • Provide guidance and mentoring to the housekeeping team, complete regular supervision and appraisals, manage annual leave requests effectively based on entitlement and business need. • Manage any outstanding training requirements and encourage development opportunities. • Oversee the housekeeping and laundry teams rotas ensuring that skill mix and weekly hours distributed accordingly and relevant to the needs of the home. • Ensure the standards of cleanliness within the home environment are of a high standard and as expected within a luxury environment. • Maintain accurate housekeeping/laundry records and audits to ensure set schedules are completed and adhered to. • Adhere to health & safety protocols to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and staff, • Manage the purchasing of cleaning consumables within the agreed housekeeping budget. About You: You will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring infection control measures are adhered to and the cleanliness of the home is of a high standard as expected within a luxury environment. You will have previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or have the necessary skills and experience to take the next step into this role. You will be capable of organising a rota and planning an effective cleaning schedule. Your previous experience will come with knowledge of COSHH, infection control and health & safety requirements. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant skills, experience and share our core values.
