Health Care Assistant - Hampton Grange
Care Assistants work as part of the team to provide individual care to each resident, making sure that everyone can retain as much dignity and independence as their situation allows. Under supervision, and within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, you will be involved in a wide range of duties and will play a very important role in creating a happy and caring environment. A flexible approach, a positive attitude to challenges and a respect for the reputation of the care home are essential characteristic of the ideal candidate.
What You'll be Doing
Whilst there are a wide range of activities which you will undertake as a Care Assistant, the over-riding requirement of the role is to make a real difference to the day-to-day lives of those living within the home. Whilst giving each resident the degree of assistance they require with meals, general hygiene and personal care, you will also help them to remain as active and independent as possible. Assisting with health and mobility issues is important, but so too is the ability to laugh, be engaging, encourage physical exercise and spark mental stimulation through participation in fun-filled activities and the exploration of new hobbies and interests. Working as part of a team, you will have a totally flexible approach and will ensure that individual care plans are implemented to achieve every person’s unique goals within the most caring and homely of environments.
