Health Care Assistant - Hampton Grange Nursing Home

Rotherwood Healthcare - Hampton Grange Hampton Grange Nursing Home in Hereford offers full-time convalescent, Nursing and Palliative care to residents with Dementia or a Dementia-related illness of up to 42 residents. As a Health Care Assistant at Hampton Grange Nursing Home, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a new standard in healthcare that enables us to deliver exceptional person-centered care and support for our residents. Hampton Grange welcomes both experienced and unexperienced Healthcare Assistants as full training will be provided. The roles we have available are for days or nights on a bank contract from 07:00am until 19:00pm or 19:00pm until 07:00am. Rate of pay- £10.57 per hour

What You'll be Doing

The key responsibilities of our Healthcare Assistants include: - To assist residents in washing, dressing and undressing. - Assisting with using the toilet or emptying urinary catheter bags/changing incontinence pads - Assisting with eating/feeding - Utilising equipment to move residents when necessary - Helping tidy the residents room - Talking to residents and reassuring them - Assisting nurses and other staff when needed - Adhering to professional standards You'll need: - Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations - Sensitivity and understanding, with the ability to respect each resident's dignity and sense of independence - Stamina and physical fitness, as this is a physically demanding job - To be thorough and pay attention to detail - Practical skills and a willingness to do messy tasks - The ability to work well with others - The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure - The ability to work well with your hands - Excellent verbal communication skills - Customer service skills Award Winning We're proud to confirm that Rotherwood Healthcare/Group has won: - Top 20 Care Home Group at the Top 20 Awards 2021 with carehome.co.uk - Best for Training and Development at The Care Home Awards 2022 - Employer of the Year at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2022 - Business of the Year at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2022 - Highly Commended for Best for Use of Technology at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2022 For further information please contact Samantha Green (Recruitment) or apply online.
