What You'll be Doing

In addition to providing a high standard of clinical Nursing, the Registered Nurse will have responsibilities directly related to home management, actively taking charge when required. You’ll report directly to the Registered Manager and your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents - Ensuring all Day/Night staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home - Ensuring resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate - Reporting any ill-health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits when needed - Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans - General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate - Administering prescribed medication and maintaining the necessary records as per Company guidelines - Supporting Registered Manager with auditing Care Plan documentation to ensure best practice - Attend relevant staff meetings - Advising the Registered Manager of any incidents/accidents - Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift - Complete supervisions and appraisals to ensure best practice is adhered to - Assist the Registered Manager with the responses to Provider audits in a timely manner - Knowledge is key for this position and candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Health & Social Care Act 2012, the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and the Home policy on the ordering, administration, custody, storage and control of drugs. You must hold a valid NMC Pin, and have experience in a similar environment
