Outstanding leadership Recognised at Dorset House Care Home
Dorset House Care Home in Droitwich Spa is celebrating positive feedback from its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment, achieving a Good rating overall and Outstanding for Well-led.
The latest CQC report, published on the 29th of September, recognised the team’s commitment to creating a home where residents feel valued, supported and able to enjoy life in the way they choose.
Dorset House received Good ratings for Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive, with inspectors praising the meaningful relationships between residents and team members, the personalised care provided and the inclusive culture fostered by the home’s leadership.
Residents are encouraged to maintain their independence, enjoy activities and stay connected with their local community. One resident summed up their experience, saying: “You’re never lonely here and that’s important.”
Inspectors also highlighted the supportive working environment at Dorset House, where team members feel valued and listened to, alongside the strong leadership and commitment to continually improving the quality of care.
For Home Manager Carol Sabell, the result is an opportunity to celebrate the people behind the care.
Carol said: “I’m really proud to be part of the Dorset House team. So much care and thought goes into making this a special place for residents, and it’s lovely to see the team’s hard work recognised.
“Good care is about the little things as much as anything else, from sharing a laugh to making time for a conversation. Those moments help make Dorset House feel like home, and it’s wonderful to be part of a team that puts them at the heart of everyday life.”
Dorset House remains committed to creating a welcoming home where relationships matter, individuality is celebrated and residents can enjoy a genuine sense of belonging.
