Rotherwood Celebrates its Apprentices during National Apprenticeship Week
This National Apprenticeship Week, Rotherwood sheds a light on the opportunity for apprentices within the company and the value they bring to the business.
Rotherwood is committed to ‘growing talent from within’ and enabling apprenticeships within the business is a key part of this mission. Whilst Rotherwood creates a more motivated, skilled and qualified team; the apprentices gain valuable work experience as they study towards their accreditations.
The Accounts Apprentices play an integral role within Rotherwood’s Finance Team. Duties include processing invoices, reconciling sales payments, posting bank transactions and running supplier payment runs for Rotherwood, whilst they progress through their accountancy qualifications with AAT (The Association for Accountancy Technicians).
Dylan Atkins joined Rotherwood’s Finance Team in June 2020 as an Accounts Apprentice studying for his Level 2 AAT at Loughborough College. Since being promoted to Accounts Technician in June 2021, Dylan has completed his Level 3 AAT in September 2022 and is now studying towards his Level 4 AAT. Dylan commented:
“Rotherwood have provided an invaluable opportunity for me to gain practical work experience as I study my accounting qualifications. It is great that there is the prospect for apprentices to progress at Rotherwood as well, as I was promoted after a year of working.”
Manmeet Kaur joined Rotherwood in April 2022 as an Accounts Apprentice. Over the last several months, Manmeet has been studying towards her Level 2 AAT at Loughborough College and said:
“Working at Rotherwood has allowed me to build key practical skills and put into context all the theory I am studying during my qualification”.
Recognised for its dedication staff development, Rotherwood Healthcare won ‘Best for Training and Development’ at the Care Home Awards 2022.
