Rotherwood to Enhance Resident Experience with New Minibus Fleet for Community Trips
Rotherwood Healthcare, an award-winning care home group, operating across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, proudly announces the addition of three new minibuses to its fleet. These vehicles will be used to take residents on engaging trips in the local community, further enhancing their lifestyle and wellbeing.
The new fleet of minibuses are a key part of Rotherwood’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and inspiring activities for its residents. The Vauxhall Vivario vehicles are designed to accommodate between six to eight residents, including wheelchair users, ensuring accessibility for all. The aim is that this will encourage participation in various outings and social activities outside of the care home environment, promoting a sense of independence for residents. Staff members across Rotherwood, starting with the Activities Coordinators, are to go through a robust training programme that will equip them with the hands-on knowledge of safely securing wheelchair users in the vehicle.
