St George’s Park Celebrates Caring UK Award Win

St Georges Park, renowned for its high-quality nursing and specialist dementia care, emerged triumphant at the Caring UK Awards 2023 held at The Athena in Leicester on Thursday, December 7, 2023. The esteemed awards, now in their sixth year, acknowledge excellence and achievement in the care industry, attracting participants from all corners of the sector.

St Georges Park was honoured with the "Quality in Housekeeping" award, a testament to the exceptional standards maintained at the home. The expert panel, featuring industry stalwarts such as Marie Curie associate director Matt Williams and DUET Diabetes Limited founder Lynne Reedman, carefully deliberated over a shortlist of up to eight candidates before declaring St Georges Park the winner.

The celebration continued back at the nursing home, where the dedicated team shared their joy over the well-deserved recognition. Expressing her admiration, Regional Manager Cheryl Walne congratulated the St Georges Park team presenting them with the winner’s trophy, as well as a selection of cupcakes featuring the award logo. A golden balloon arch had been installed at the home to mark the occasion.

"We’re thrilled that the team’s hard work has been recognised through this accolade. The housekeepers play a key role in creating a luxurious environment for our residents to live. Thank you and well done to the team” remarked Cheryl.

Caring UK Awards director Dominic Musgrave said: "This year’s winners should be very proud – the high standard of entries made it a tough job to select a final shortlist never mind a winner and runner-up in each category.

St Georges Park continues to set the standard for quality care, and this accolade further solidifies its commitment to providing exceptional nursing and dementia care services. For more information, call 01952 619850, or visit St George's Park.
