Quality Assurance Officer- Hampton Grange Nursing Home

Hampton Grange Nursing Home in Hereford offers full-time convalescent, Nursing and Palliative care to residents with Dementia or a Dementia-related illness of up to 42 residents. Gwen Walford Nursing Home offers full-time Residential, and Palliative care up to 30 residents. Rotherwood Healthcare are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Group Compliance Team and be based at Hampton Grange Nursing Home in Herefordshire, and you will be working alongside an established, and friendly team. What You'll be Doing

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 08:30am until 17:00pm. Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum The key responsibilities of our Quality Assurance Officer include: The post holder will assist in setting and maintaining standards of care and will participate in maintaining effective compliance of the team and the Home. To ensure the full implementation of current Legislative and quality control/assurance requirements in all aspects and in support to the Home Manager To ensure confidentiality in relation to all staff and residents is maintained Take the lead in writing Care Plans for all new residents admitted to the home and ensure that these are evaluated and current. To order the Homes Medications and manage the storage, administration and disposal To ensure that all of the residents Care Plans are kept up to date and that monthly evaluations are carried out in a timely manner and that those monthly evaluations are implemented and reflected into the relevant parts of the care plan and then the whole care plan is reviewed minimum 6 monthly and that care plan audits G1 & G2 are completed in a timely manner and all changes are clearly documented, cascaded and cross referenced Complete mental capacity and DoLS assessments To audit as required and take appropriate remedial action On day of admission you would need to ensure that Weight, Body Map and General Observations are always completed and all in conjunction with the admission checklist form and the requirements of Matron and that all of these are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the Admission Checklist. Pain medication including PRN are crossed referenced with the Care Plans and a pain Care Plan is in place To audit that the daily checks are being completed including daily patch checks, CD daily checks, cream application checks including topical MAR charts and running totals of medications. If these are not being completed in a timely manner that you escalate accordingly to the Home Manager for their consideration on any necessary actions that may need to be taken. You'll need: Experience of Quality Assurance duties within Nursing homes Up to date knowledge of the CQC requirements with the Nursing home Sector Experience of planning and conducting Audits Writing and Delivering presentations Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and electronic. Willing to Travel Full UK Driving Licence Eye for detail
