Payroll Controller Home Support Centre

Payroll Controller Salary £35 - £45k Hours 40 hours per week from 08:30am until 17:00pm Monday to Friday Location The Point, Granite Way, Mountsorrel, Loughborough, LE12 7TZ Role Purpose The role will be accountable in the production of accurate and timely in-house payroll administration of our employees in accordance with statutory regulations in addition to ensuring accurate data entry and statistical reporting in a timely manner and in accordance with the needs of the Rotherwood Group. To provide a high-quality service to individuals (managers and employees) and to contribute to the long-term development of the Payroll function ensuring a consistently high level of customer care is provided to all individuals. To provide an effective and efficient output of work to meet the demands made of the role, and to assist in all aspects of the work undertaken by the Payroll Department. To arrange the payment of staff salaries through the computerised payroll system (Sage Payroll) & Microsoft Packages. This will involve the collation and input of all relevant information for monthly/weekly payroll (including new starters, leavers, benefits, contract changes, sickness absence payments, maternity and paternity pay). To administer the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay schemes. To provide written notification to all staff of any changes in pay. To provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, salary guidelines, taxation and National Insurance, & pensions. To ensure manual and computerised records are accurately maintained and updated regularly in line with data protection. You would be accountable for: Extracting a number of client monthly payrolls from excel into Sage Deducting tax and national insurance contributions Processing holiday, SSP, SMP, SPP and expenses P45, P11D, P60 and year end responsibilities Actioning pension plans Query resolution Payroll Journal processing Sales ledger Purchase ledger Reconciliations Accruals & pre-payments General accounting duties Personal Qualities And Experience Previous payroll and accounting experience, healthcare ideal but not essential Highly results orientated The ability and confidence to talk over the phone in an open office environment Organised and methodical approach to working and documentation Flexible and driven Customer focused Problem solving ability, detail orientated and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Your generous benefits would include: Flexible Pay – access earnings to suit you Free parking – onsite Employee Assistance Line – support helpline 5.6 weeks Annual Leave Career Pathway – professional development Employee of the month scheme- Be awarded up to £225 in Amazon Vouchers Career development pathways and formal training opportunities Seasonal gifts – a small token of our appreciation Blue Light Card - a range of discounts and offers for a variety of high street shops and restaurants Refer a friend – bonus scheme Company events Access to the office gym We are an award winning group with a dynamic Home Support Centre Team.
