Laundry Assistant- Roden Hall Care Home
Roden Hall is set within three acres of grounds in the picturesque village of Roden in Shropshire. Purpose built and designed to the highest specification with luxury and comfort in mind and is home to 68 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home as a Laundry Assistant. The Role: As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a new standard in healthcare that enables us to deliver exceptional person-centred care and support for our residents. You will ensure each resident has clean clothing and bedding, and our home functions have clean, fresh and laundered items such as towels, tablecloths, napkins etc. You will play a vital part in helping our residents to feel comfortable and at home in a luxury environment. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure all residents clothing, bedding, and towels are appropriately washed, dried, ironed, repaired if needed, labelled, and returned to the residents in a timely manner. • Provide support to the housekeeping team as and when required to ensure the standards of cleanliness within the home are of a high standard. • Keep the Laundry room tidy, clean, and organised as per the agreed procedures. • Adhere to COSHH and Health & Safety regulations to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and work colleagues. About You: You will have previous laundry/cleaning experience within a fast paced busy environment, with a strong focus on high standards, ensuring the laundry facility functions effectively. You will also have the ability to prioritise and complete your allocated tasks during your set shift. Previous care home experience would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the knowledge and understanding if you have the people qualities and share our core values.
