Maintenance Operative - Dorset House

Dorset House is set in beautiful peaceful private grounds, close to the heart of the bustling market town of Droitwich, Worcestershire and is home to 42 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home management team as a Maintenance Operative. The Role: You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents. Your primary role will be to maintain the physical environment at Dorset House, ensuring the home maintains a luxury environment, has fully functioning facilities and complies with health & safety regulations and legislation. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance/repair tasks. • Undertake general facilities support tasks as required. • Carry out regular painting and decorating tasks to keep the home at an exceptional level. • Assist with contractor visits and provide support where required. • Diagnose issues and create an achievable, agreeable solution. • Identify hazards and undertake point of work risk assessments as required. • Complete compliance checks as per the agreed schedule. About You: You will have previous experience in a maintenance role and can demonstrate a range of hands-on, general maintenance skills, e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, as well as a good understanding of health & safety regulations. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the skills and experience and share our core values.
