Regional Quality Assurane Officer

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our Regulation & Compliance team as a Regional Quality Assurance Officer. The Role To safeguard residents and uphold Rotherwood’s standards by ensuring accident/incident reporting is accurate, timely, and action-led; statutory and CQC notifications are reviewed and completed where required; and improvement activity is supported and evidenced. The role provides structured analysis, follow-through on task management, and high-quality coordination for the HoRC, contributing to safe, kind and consistently excellent care across all homes. Key Responsibilities: · Weekly Accident & Incident Reporting (A&I) assurance – Collate, check and validate weekly A&I submissions, identify trends and escalate risks. Cross reference to Matron and Portal. · Conduct a day 8 Care Plan G1 Audit for all new admissions and ensure all appropriate documentation has been uploaded to PCS/Matron. · Check that all governance audits have been completed and in line with Rotherwood expectations and support with completion for identified homes as directed by the HoRC. · Ensure all new admissions to locations have had a day 1 and day 7 check. · Ensure G1 audit has been completed at Day 8 · Check that care plan audit improvements identified have been completed. · Uploads to the Matron system – Ensure all documents are uploaded correctly and audit-ready. · Task Management Module – Monitor actions, support and help to progress to completion, and report weekly status updates. · Internal Regulation Assessments – Support scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions. · Home Visits – Support improvement plan delivery and coach teams on quality measures and systems use. · Provide individual and group coaching to staff in terms of PCS use and care plan monitoring. · Data Analysis & Reporting – Produce Data metrics and compare with managers’ outcomes. Pre-Plan questions based on the home’s last months Clinical governance meeting in readiness for next Ops/Quality Review. · Meetings Administration & Minutes – Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and track actions. About You: Essential: · Strong understanding of accident/incident processes in care settings and when notifications are required. · Excellent data handling and analysis skills. · High standards of written communication and reporting. · Confident user of care governance systems (Matron), Microsoft 365, and workflow tools. · Professional resilience, discretion, and integrity. · Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. · Must have a background in a Quality Assurance role within a care or regulated setting and be able to evidence driving measurable improvements. Desirable: · Experience preparing for inspections and internal/provider visits. · Familiarity with safeguarding, duty of candour, and RIDDOR. · Coaching approach to support local managers and teams. · Seasonal gifts – a small token of our appreciation. · Blue Light Card - discounts for a variety of retailers and restaurants. · Refer a friend – bonus scheme.
