Healthcare Assistant - Kington Court

Kington Court is nestled in the heart of Kington, an attractive and bustling market town, with beautiful surrounding countryside. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant. The Role: You will work under the guidance and direction of the person in charge, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person-centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well-being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care. • Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided. • Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness. • Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well-being. • Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance. • Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes. • Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift. About You: You will have a genuine passion for care and supporting the elderly. An excellent communicator with a kind and patient manner. You will have the ability to work well within a team but also individually when required. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the training and knowledge required if you have the relevant people qualities and share our core values.
Domestic Assistant- Kington Court

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will promote the quality of life and wellbeing of our residents by ensuring their home is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas. Ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy, and maintained to an exceptional level at all times. You will be a champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, creating a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families. About You: You will have previous housekeeping/cleaning experience within a fast paced busy environment, with a strong focus on high standards, ensuring the environment it maintained to a high level. You will also have the ability to prioritise and complete your allocated tasks during your set shift. Previous care home experience would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the knowledge and understanding if you have the people qualities and share our core values.
