Kington Court is nestled in the heart of Kington, an attractive and bustling market town, with beautiful surrounding countryside. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant. The Role: You will work under the guidance and direction of the person in charge, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person-centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well-being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care. • Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided. • Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness. • Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well-being. • Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance. • Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes. • Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift. About You: You will have a genuine passion for care and supporting the elderly. An excellent communicator with a kind and patient manner. You will have the ability to work well within a team but also individually when required. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the training and knowledge required if you have the relevant people qualities and share our core values.

We are actively seeking a Lifestyle/ Activities Assistant to join our Lifestyle Team working 20 hours per week / 4 days per week of 5 hour days. The role is across 7 days with a varied shift pattern to suit the home, season and activities. The earliest start time will be 9:00am and the latest finish time will be 7.00pm. Hourly rate of: £10.57 per hour About You: We are looking for a Lifestyle Assistant who has enthusiasm and energy that will engage our residents to participate and enjoy the activities provided. Ideally we would like our Lifestyle Assistant to be experienced with organising events and activities, and working with older people both living with and without dementia. Duties: You will assist in the delivery of the activities programme, based on relationship-centred care principles, throughout the home that involves and includes all residents Support the Lifestyles Coordinator to promote the events and activities to the team and residents. Support the regular review of all activities programmes to assess effectiveness, revising and refreshing activities for all residents as a result Encourage relationship-centered care with all team members in the home to ensure residents continue to make lifestyles choices relevant and appropriate to them Support the building of strong and positive external links within the local community for the Home to encourage volunteers and charity partnerships.
