Health Care Assistant - Lynhales Hall Nursing Home

Lynhales Hall is set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall. Lynhales Hall is built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House and is home to 65 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant. The Role: You will work under the guidance and direction of the person in charge, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person-centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well-being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care. • Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided. • Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness. • Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well-being. • Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance. • Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes. • Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift. Head Chef - Lynhales Hall

Key responsibilities To prepare, cook and serve high quality meals which are appetising, nutritious and centered on residents preferences. Taking into account any special dietary and allergen requirements. To be active and engaging, provide technical advice and guidance on food related matters; ensuring a positive and supportive working environment for the team. To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements, including Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP), Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Food Safety and Food Hygiene, have a clear understanding of Infection Prevention and Control policies, procedures and measures to maintain a safe environment throughout the home. Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean; including the washing up of crockery and utensils when required. Ensure sufficient food stocks are ordered, received and controlled through Rotherwood Healthcare approved suppliers and that effective stock management is maintained, including the completion of monthly stock takes to reduce food wastage to a minimum. Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, ensuring any damage or faults are reported to the Home Manager and follow up action is initiated. To be an active member of Lynhales Hall Nursing Home, contribute to team meetings, and assist the Home Manager with the selection, interviewing, induction and on-going development of catering staff.Attendance at resident and relative meetings to gather feedback on food quality satisfaction. bout the role: As a Domestic at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a new standard in healthcare that enables us to deliver exceptional person-centered care and support for our residents. Keeping the home clean, hygienic, and safe, particularly in the fight against coronavirus, is no small task, which is why the role of a Domestic is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy clean, tidy and welcoming surroundings. This means you’ll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the staff working to support them. Main Responsibilities: Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the nursing home. Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Home Manager. Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Home Manager.
