Healthcare Assistant - Colwall

Colwall care home is situated in the picturesque village of Colwall, nestled on the western side of the Malvern Hills. Colwall is a purpose built luxury care home, offering state of the art facilities with stunning architectural features throughout. Opening in Autumn 2024, Colwall will be home to 60 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant. The Role: You will work under the guidance and direction of the person in charge, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person-centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well-being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 08.00 – 20.00 (days) or 20.00 – 08.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care. • Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided. • Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness. • Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well-being. • Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance. • Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes. • Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift. About You: You will have a genuine passion for care and supporting the elderly. An excellent communicator with a kind and patient manner. You will have the ability to work well within a team but also individually when required. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide you with the training and knowledge required if you have the relevant people qualities and share our core values.

Registered Nurse - Colwall

Colwall is a purpose built luxury care home, offering state of the art facilities with stunning architectural features throughout. Opening in Summer 2024, Colwall will be home to 60 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home as a Nurse. The Role: As the Nurse in charge, you will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical elements of the care provision, supervising others and setting/maintaining clinical standards within the home. Working under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Lead, you will have a strong clinical focus, playing an active role in ensuring that the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Supporting the home with the expected clinical/nursing standards, promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are maintained. Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Monitor standards of care, ensuring all staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability. • Ensure resident needs are being met by interaction and observation on each shift. • Organise and facilitate GP visits as required and implement advice/guidance provided. • Prepare, review and update resident care plans to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose. • Administer and manage resident medication and ensure accurate records are maintained. • Report and incidents/accidents, areas of concern to the Home Manager & Clinical Lead. • Ensure a clear & concise handover, highlighting priorities for the day/night ahead. • Provide ongoing clinical support to ensure the team on your shift have the necessary skills & knowledge to provide the resident with an exceptional level of care. About You: As a RGN with a valid NMC Pin, you will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring the safe delivery or nursing care is achieved and maintained at all times. You will lead by example and have a genuine passion for nursing care and working with the elderly. With a personable disposition, you will be comfortable leading others to achieve high standards without compromise. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant skillset and experience and share our core values.
