Health Care Assistant - Roden Hall

Purpose built and designed to the highest specification with luxury and comfort in mind and is home to 68 residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our care team as a Healthcare Assistant. The Role: You will work under the guidance and direction of the person in charge, delivering a quality care service for the residents in our home, providing individualised, person-centred care in a happy, homely environment. You will have a deep understanding and respect for the dignity of each resident, promoting their health and well-being at all times. Shift times are predominantly 08.00 – 20.00 (days) or 20.00 – 08.00 (nights). Key Responsibilities: • Assist residents with washing, toileting, dressing/undressing, and all aspects of personal care. • Support residents who have limited mobility, using the necessary equipment provided. • Ensure a positive mealtime experience and assist with eating/drinking with dignity & kindness. • Provide encouragement and motivation to ensure day to day resident health and well-being. • Respond to call bells in a timely & professional manner and provide the required assistance. • Maintain accurate records of the care provided and document/report any evident changes. • Follow handover instructions, supporting the person in charge to ensure an efficient shift. Clinical Lead - Roden Hall

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who naturally shares our values, to join our home management team as a Clinical Lead. The Role: As a member of the home management team, you will lead, manage and be accountable for the nursing teams within your designated home. Providing a strong clinical focus, you will play an active role in ensuring the nurse teams are competent and the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Responsible for setting the clinical/nursing standards and ensuring that competencies and clinical supervisions are managed effectively. Promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are achieved and maintained. Key Responsibilities: • Achieve, promote, and ensure that the home’s clinical/care performance meets all relevant standards and codes of conduct including NMC and CQC fundamental standards. • Organise the implementation of planned care as set out within individual care plans, ensuring that this meets each residents' medication/clinical care needs. • Responsible for the safe ordering, administration and safekeeping of medication and treatments, as prescribed and in accordance with the home’s policies and NMC Guidelines. • Responsible for auditing care delivery, developing action plans to rectify areas if required. • Facilitate good outcomes from inspections including CQC, CCG and LA. • Assist with pre-admission assessments and arrangements necessary for admissions to the home. • Assess all levels of care against agreed competencies to ensure effective, safe, and appropriate care delivery that supports individuality and promotes quality and safety. About You: You will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring the safe delivery or nursing care is achieved and maintained at all times. You will be a RGN and have a valid NMC Pin with a minimum of two years’ experience in a care environment at a senior nursing level or above. With a personable disposition and a genuine passion for care, you will be comfortable leading others to achieve high standards without compromise. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant skillset and experience and share our core values.

Kitchen Assistant - Roden Hall Care Home

The Role: You will be required to assist the Head Chef/Chef in the preparation of a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment and play a vital part in the effective operation of the kitchen function for the home. The Kitchen Assistant will also need to control stock, rotate foods, and monitor use by dates and ensure that the kitchen is kept in a clean and hygienic state at the end of every shift. Key Responsibilities: • Preparing and serving food in a timely manner, as directed by the Head Chef and Chef. • Follow food handling and hygiene procedures, maintain a clean and organised work area. • Support with each mealtime experience - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to residents’ preferences and dietary requirements. • Keep clean all work surfaces in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. • To abide by all health & safety and environmental requirements as per the relevant legislation/regulations. • Be aware of and adhere to COSHH guidelines. Chef - Roden Hall

The Role: As the Chef in a Rotherwood care home, you will be involved in every aspect of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef, and taking responsibility in their absence. You will support with planning the menus, motivating, and leading the catering team, ensuring the exceptional dining experience meets the needs of our residents and ensuring food standards are kept high. Co-ordinating all aspects of kitchen production so that food is prepared to the highest standards and mealtime deadlines are achieved. Key Responsibilities: · Assist the Head Chef with menu creation, ensuring residents specific dietary requirements are considered and the exceptional dining experience is achieved. · Prepare and cook food/meals in line with the agreed menu, ensuring quality & presentation is a high consideration, using the best available ingredients. · Ensure the food prepared is wholesome and nourishing according to dietary requirements and preference. · Assist the Head Chef with all regulatory and statutory requirements and ensure hygiene standards are achieved and maintained. · To mentor and supervise the ongoing training and development of the kitchen assistants. You will hold a formal catering qualification and be capable of planning nutritious meals, considering specific dietary requirements and have an understanding of IDDSI modified foods. Your previous experience will come with knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety protocols. You will be personable, enthusiastic and passionate about the food you plan, prepare and serve to our residents.
